As a major bank, Sampo Bank has substantial influence in Finnish society and is also an important part of the Danske Bank Group.

Compliance with legislation and good banking practice constitute an essential part of successful and consistent banking operations. In addition to operations of a high standard, Sampo Bank aims to achieve the position of a reliable partner amongst particular interest groups, and to invest in facilities for growth in a sustainable manner.



In recent years, high-quality training for young people that pays attention to ethical issues has been recognised as a particularly important part of sustainable development in Finnish society.

Sampo Bank has supported the activities of primary and secondary schools since 2003. The bank has concentrated its monetary donations towards schools. To date, donations have been made to an amount of one million euro.

A total of 62 schools all over Finland received individual donations from the bank in 2007. The donations were used to fund projects related to the environment and responsibility.
