With Visa Electron you can

  • pay for purchases at payment locations designated with the Visa Electron identifier in Finland and abroad
  • withdraw cash from a bank account from an ATM in Finland and abroad
  • pay invoices at a PTM, check the balance of a bank account and the account transactions at an ATM in Finland

When making purchases with Visa Electron, it will always be verified upon purchase that the account connected to the card contains sufficient funds.

Visa Electron is suitable if you

  • only need to make purchases within the balance of your current account
  • wish to pay for purchases in shops, not only withdraw cash from ATMs
  • will be spending a long period abroad and wish to have access to your Finnish current account during your stay

Note! Visa Electron is not recommended as the only payment instrument on trips abroad because the bank cannot guarantee flawless operations of foreign ATMs and international data connections. If there are problems in connections, the use of the card may be obstructed.
